AhlulBayt News Agency: In a message, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, the Head of Iran’s Islamic seminaries, has expressed his condolences to the Supreme Leader and the people of Bandar Abbas City for the heartbreaking tragedy of explosion in Shahid Rajai Port Special Economic Zone in Bandar Abbas, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of a number of hardworking employees and citizens.
The text of the message is as follows:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return
The bitter and heartbreaking tragedy of explosion in Shahid Rajai Port Special Economic Zone in Bandar Abbas, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of a number of our hardworking employees and dear compatriots, caused great sorrow and pain.
While expressing my sincere sympathy to the noble people of Bandar Abbas and Hormozgan Province, I would like to express my condolences to the Supreme Leader, the noble people of The Islamic Republic of Iran, and especially the bereaved families for this painful loss. I pray to God Almighty for mercy and forgiveness for the deceased and for a speedy recovery for the injured in this tragedy.
I would like to express my gratitude for the noble and bereaved people of Iran who, with their sympathy and sense of duty, participated in the blood donation movement and helped the victims in a timely manner.
I also ask all responsible institutions to make their utmost efforts in providing relief and service to the injured and their respected families, and to take the necessary measures to compensate for the losses suffered by our dear fellow citizens.
Given the heated rumors surrounding such incidents, I urge media activists to publish accurate, reliable, and authentic news, and for officials to identify the factors which led to this unfortunate tragedy with the necessary care to prevent speculation and biased and inaccurate readings by foreign media from becoming institutionalized.
Finally, I would like to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude to the relief forces and the efforts they are making to extinguish the fire and manage the incident.
